Real Madrid’s Luka Modric is a doubt for their Champions League semifinal matchup against Manchester City as a result of a left leg injury.
The 37-year-old Modric is expected to miss two weeks of play, and his fitness is also a concern heading into Madrid’s Copa del Rey final matchup against Osasuna on May 6.
The City tie’s first leg will be played the following Tuesday, May 9, while the second leg will be played on May 16, eight days later.
Real Madrid confirm Luka Modrić has suffered an injury to his left thigh, and is expected to miss two weeks.

Due to discomfort in his leg, Modric will undoubtedly miss this Saturday’s La Liga match against Almeria.
This season, Carlo Ancelotti’s Madrid team has relied heavily on Modric, who has made 44 appearances across all competitions.
Modric’s absence would be a huge blow for Madrid, given that he was set to start in the midfield against Manchester City’s own middle line, which is one of the —if not the— world’s best midfield formations in world football.

The Croatian midfielder will definitely try his best to recover in time for that first leg.
However, giving him the opportunity to start could also be dangerous as he will have no time to improve his conditioning and make sure that he’s 100% ready to go ahead of that game.
