Gary Neville Fires ‘Nothing To Lose’ Message To Arsenal Ahead Of Crucial Man City Title Clash

“The stakes are so high,” says Gary Neville. It’s a big one, with Everton facing Manchester City first and Brighton facing Arsenal. We’re looking forward to the big weekend.” | From 1pm, Sky Sports will broadcast Everton vs. Manchester City (kick-off 2pm) and Arsenal vs. Brighton (kick-off 4.30pm).

Gary Neville believes Manchester City are under pressure as they prepare to face Everton on Super Sunday, with their Premier League title fight with Arsenal still very much alive.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have taken control of the Premier League title battle, pulling one point ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand.

However, with many expecting the Gunners to falter against Newcastle last Sunday, Mikel Arteta’s men proved their worth with a 2-0 victory at St James’ Park, keeping their prospects of a first league title since 2004 alive.

On Super Sunday, Man City, who drew 1-1 with Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, travel to relegation-threatened Everton (kick-off 2pm), while Arsenal host European qualification hopes Brighton (kick-off 4.30pm).

With both teams playing on Super Sunday, it may be a decisive day in the title race, and Neville believes Man City will have a tough test at Goodison Park, especially following their Champions League exploits in midweek.

“The games against Real Madrid are monumental battles,” Neville stated on The Gary Neville Podcast. They’re games of a lifetime against that type of club, and Man City will be consumed by them. In between, they’ll face an Everton side at Goodison Park, where they’ve had problems in the past.
