Chelsea and Manchester United are among the clubs that could consider a summer transfer swoop for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti has warned Chelsea and Manchester United that signing Lautaro Martinez this summer is out of the question because the red-hot Argentine frontman is content at the San Siro, which he considers to be his “home.” On Tuesday night, the World Cup-winning striker secured Inter’s place in the Champions League final by rifleing the ball home under the body of AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, giving Inter a 3-0 aggregate advantage over their arch-rivals.

His decisive, clinical performance served as a timely reminder of his quality, as he recently surpassed the 20-goal mark in Serie A for the second consecutive season.

Several Premier League clubs have expressed interest in him recently, but the Argentina international has no plans to leave the San Siro, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. as cited by Goal, the striker’s agent, Alejandro Camano, has verified that his client is content in Italy.

Both Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, are only player to outscore Martinez in Italy this season,  valued at more than £100 million – the Inter striker is anticipated to attract considerable attention from both Chelsea and Manchester United this summer.

However, Inter great Zanetti believes the three-time European champions have a good chance of retaining Martinez beyond this summer because the player is happy in Milan and his family is settled.

“Lautaro is part of a great journey, he grows from year to year,” Zanetti remarked after the Champions League victory over AC Milan.
