Haaland Admits Winning The Treble With Man City Would Be His ‘Biggest Dream’

Manchester City forward, Erling Haaland claims winning the historic treble with the Cityzens is going to be his ‘biggest dream’. And aims to fulfill his purpose by winning the UEFA Champions League.

After winning the Premier League for the fifth time in six seasons, Pep Guardiola’s team will take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday. Before locking horns with Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10.

While Guardiola’s City have dominated the domestic scene, they have not yet been crowned European champions. United are the only English side to have achieved the treble, under Sir Alex Ferguson in 1999.

What Did Haaland Say About Winning The Treble With Man City?

Haaland told BBC Sport: “It would be unreal to make this history. This is why they bought me of course, to get this, we don’t have to hide that.

“It would mean everything. I will do everything I possibly can to try to make it happen. It’s my biggest dream and hopefully dreams do come true.”

With a record-breaking 36 goals in the Premier League and 52 across all competitions, Haaland has dominated the league in his debut season.

He is the first player to win both the Premier League and Young Player of the Year awards in the same season. And was also awarded the Football Writers’ Association (FWA) men’s footballer of the year.
