Chelsea is said to be using defender Kalidou Koulibaly as a bargaining chip in their pursuit of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
According to a recent TalkSPORT story, the Blues are planning to surrender their seasoned center-back in exchange for Inter Milan’s stunning number one.
Despite only joining Inter Milan this summer, Onana, 27, has seen his stock skyrocket. The Nerazzurri will do well to keep hold of the Senegal international, who is widely considered as one of the best keepers in Europe’s top divisions.
And, according to the latest reports, despite being admired by a number of top clubs, particularly given his role in his club’s recent Champions League campaign, which saw them reach the final before losing to Pep Guardiola’s eventual treble-winners Manchester City, Onana looks set to be one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas.

Despite having four years left on his contract, Chelsea will be optimistic of luring the 27-year-old shot-stopper away from the San Siro in time for next season.
And, with Chelsea likely to use 31-year-old Koulibaly as a bribe to persuade their Italian rivals to sell, they could be on track to complete one of their more astute business deals in recent seasons.
Also, it will make room for Onana to join the Blues; hopefully, this offer is enough to convince Inter Milan to accept the deal and approve it. There is also the question of Kepa Arrizabalaga. It wouldn’t be an issue if the Spaniard is shown the door as well, but only if Onana, or a goalkeeper of equal stature, is signed.
