Manchester United are reportedly set to offer an improved bid for Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount.
They have had two bids rejected, the most recent being for £50 million plus add-ons. It is believed Chelsea desired a fee closer to £65 million for the England international. United have a cap that they won’t go above.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are ready to launch another bid for Mount who has failed to agree on a new contract with the Blues. And instead wanted a move away from Stamford Bridge.
“Manchester United are set to submit third official bid in excess of £55m for Mason Mount.
“Sources feel this is going to be the final proposal after two bids rejected in the recent weeks. Man Utd want quick resolution — also, 100% agreed personal terms.”

Declan Rice, the captain of West Ham United, is still a target for United. And there have been internal conversations over whether an agreement could be sanctioned.

Financial Fair Play regulations prevent United from spending a significant amount of their resources on a single player. Especially because they have other areas they want to improve.
They are considering a variety of alternative midfield possibilities as a result. However, the possibility of player sales would boost their purchasing power.
