Manchester City defender, Kyle Walker is reportedly in talks with Thomas Tuchel over a move to Bayern Munich despite Pep Guardiola’s interest in keeping him at the club.
SportBILD reports that the German champions are hopeful their manager’s ‘persuasiveness’ would enable them to sign the right-back this summer.
According to the publication, Bayern have backed Tuchel strongly in this transfer window. Securing the signature of Kim min-Jae from Napoli and attempting to sign Harry Kane.
Both of those players are demanded from their manager, and they are also urging him to sign Walker, who is on his list.
They are depending on their coach’s persuasiveness in that regard, as Tuchel is already “in contact” with the full-back regarding a prospective transfer.
Walker has been convinced with the transfer, and he is “ready to step into the Bundesliga.” But Manchester City wants to cling onto him as they prepare to defend their treble in the next campaign.
The two parties will therefore need to come to an agreement. Especially if Tuchel can persuade Walker that he wants to leave the Etihad this summer.

Bayern appears to be hoping he can accomplish that as they attempt to make Walker, Tuchel’s third preferred acquisition.
The England international was pivotal for the Cityzens when they won the historic treble last season. Though, he wasn’t in the starting XI for City in the UEFA Champions League, but he was a key part on their way to the final which was played in Istanbul, Turkey.
