Turkish club, Galatasaray are pushing to sign Liverpool and Spain midfielder, Thiago Alcantara in the summer transfer window.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich player recently finished his third season at Anfield. During which he racked up 97 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside giants.
The Spain international, however, has never played more than 25 times in a single Premier League season and was injured for most of the final four months of the 2022–23 season.
Jurgen Klopp’s team produced their greatest performance of the season during that time. It was sufficient to make a late push for Champions League qualification. But eventually resulted in a fifth-place finish in the Premier League.
Since then, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have joined Klopp’s squad. And it is anticipated that another new face will join them soon in the middle of the park.
The future of Thiago has now come under scrutiny. And all indications point to the 32-year-old being free to go for the right price with only one year left on his contract.
According to rumors, Thiago has already turned down the chance to move to Saudi Arabia, evidently preferring to continue his professional life in Europe.
