Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has reportedly agreed a new long-term contract with club.
According to 90min, the 25-year-old is expected to become the Red Devils’ highest paid player as he says ‘yes’ to a new five-year contract.
Last month, the source reported that United and the Englishman were close to reaching an agreement. The Red Devils wanted to reward Rashford for becoming one of the Premier League’s most lethal forwards with a substantial new contract.
Numerous sources have now confirmed that Rashford’s new contract will make him United’s highest-paid player. Indicating that a complete agreement has been struck.
Although it is said that Rashford had the opportunity to sign a larger contract abroad. Where Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain were willing to pay a huge salary. But the 25-year-old has never pondered leaving Old Trafford.
Rashford has long been vocal about his desire to stay with his boyhood club. And he has finally agreed to the terms of a contract that will put an end to rumors about his future.
After agreeing to a £46 million fee with Inter, United are getting closer to signing goalkeeper Andre Onana. And are moving up their preseason preparations.
Onana’s five-year deal is also on the table. As manager Erik ten Hag wants to secure the mainstay of his team for many years to come.
