Player Ready To Leave Chelsea With Tottenham, West Ham Interested

Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher is reportedly set to leave the club with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United ready to pounce on him.

Gallagher, 23, has been viewed not needed by the Blues despite scoring in their past two preseason victories over Brighton and Wrexham.

This summer, he is being heavily sought by teams. With Spurs and the Hammers the current front-runners to sign him before the 2023–24 campaign.

The Evening Standard reports that the Hammers are ‘ready to push ahead of Spurs’ as they try to sign two midfielders after selling Declan Rice to Arsenal.

However, given that Tottenham are in need of homegrown talent. As well as an ideal replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is heavily rumored to be moving to Atletico Madrid. Tottenham may be the more alluring option for Gallagher.

The English midfielder joined Chelsea at the age of six. And has been a part of the side since he was in the Chelsea academy. He wants to stay and compete for a spot at Stamford Bridge. But he acknowledges that he must leave because the club isn’t willing to give him a new contract.

Although he supports Gallagher, new head coach Mauricio Pochettino recognizes Chelsea’s hierarchy’s choice regarding the player’s future.

In all, he played 45 times for Chelsea’s first team. He also spent time on loan at a number of clubs, including Crystal Palace, where he won the club’s Player of the Year award for the 2021–22 campaign after excelling in the Premier League.
