Chelsea are still trying to find a buyer for winger Callum Hudson-Odoi following his underwhelming loan spell in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen last season.
Chelsea have been left with egg on their face after receiving a £4 million verbal offer from Fulham for Callum Hudson-Odoi, even though discussions between the teams are currently progressing. The 22-year-old winger’s status has deteriorated in recent years, and after scoring just one goal in 21 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen on loan last season, the Blues know their chances of earning a reasonable amount are minimal.
That was not the case in 2020, when Chelsea turned down a bid of up to £70 million for the England international, whose days at Stamford Bridge appear to be numbered According to Express News
It was Bayern’s seventh approach for Hudson-Odoi in 18 months, but Chelsea had no intention of doing business with the German champions since the attacker was regarded as crucial to the club’s future.

Chelsea turned down the loan bid, which included a £70 million option to buy, after determining they didn’t want to lose the player.
However, over three years later, they are still unable to find purchasers willing to match their £8m asking price. Even if his form has deteriorated, it appears absurd.
Hudson-Odoi has undoubtedly struggled, but he is still a young talent with Champions League experience who is well worth a gamble.
Nottingham Forest and Lazio have also expressed interest, although neither club appears willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price.
Aside from two Achilles tendon ailments in April 2019 and February 2022, Hudson-Odoi has not suffered any severe injuries that have jeopardized his career.
