Crystal Palace have agreed a deal with Flamengo to sign teenage attacker, Matheus Franca as they prepare for the 2023/24 English Premier League season.
The Eagles have responded well to the departure of Wilfried Zaha who left the club for Galatasaray as a free agent.
According to London World, the youngster was pursued by Chelsea and Newcastle United. But Roy Hodgson’s Palace have signed him, and he will fly in this week for his medical examination.
The Eagles will initially pay £19 million, with an additional seven million to be added later on based on results. And if he ever becomes one of the finest footballers in the world.
In 54 appearances for the Brazilian giants Flamengo, Franca, who is highly regarded in Brazil, has already scored nine goals. He arrives in south London with the nearly insurmountable challenge of replacing Wilfried Zaha.

Having relied largely on the Ivory Coast international throughout his more than 400 appearances for the Eagles, Zaha’s departure presents a dilemma for the team.
Eberechi Eze and lively winger Michael Olise helped the Eagles come back from a position of fragility to a respectable 12-placed finish in the league table under Roy Hodgson, who took over for Patrick Vieira for the second part of last season.
