Chelsea transfer target, Moises Caicedo has reportedly said he wants to leave Brighton and Hove Albion at an awards ceremony.
The 21-year-old’s summer transfer to Stamford Bridge is still strongly reported.
Three offers, the most recent reportedly totaling £80 million, have been turned down by the Seagulls for the Ecuadorian midfielder.
At a celebration on Tuesday night, Caicedo received the Players’ Player of the Year and Fans’ Player of the Year awards.
According to Sussex World as reported by talkSPORT, the Ecuador international told the attendees of the event that he wants to move elsewhere this summer.
“Thank you to everyone for everything and all the fans for your support in every game. I’m so happy,” Caicedo said on stage.
He later received the Fans’ Player of the Season award, before saying: “Thank you, fans. Without your support, it wouldn’t be possible. I do this for my family; they are my inspiration.”
Although there is still a disparity in the 21-year-old’s value between the two clubs. Chelsea are still optimistic that a deal can be reached.
Caicedo took part in 37 of Brighton’s 38 Premier League games as they had their finest season ever and earned a spot in the Europa League.
Independiente del Valle sold the midfielder to Brighton in 2021 for £4 million.
Despite Caicedo’s efforts to make the switch to Arsenal in January, Brighton resisted and inked him to a new, long-term contract in March.

Chelsea are still in contact with Robert Sanchez, a teammate of Caicedo who appears ready to join former Seagulls coach Ben Roberts at Stamford Bridge.
