FPL Gameweek 4 Recap: Another Big Haaland Haul, iSoccer Winners

Erling Haaland’s (£14.0m) outstanding performance in Manchester City’s home match against Fulham left a record 7.3million FPL managers rejoicing.

No player has ever received greater backing for the armband, and when Triple Captains are counted, the total jumps to 7.5 million, which is also a record-high.

Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka (£8.7m), who was the third most-capped player, missed a decent chance in the second-half but he did at least earn the assist for Rice’s winner, while Martin Odegaard’s (£8.5m) equalizer means he has now scored more league goals than any other Gunners player since the start of last season (17).

Since reverting to his favoured role in Gameweek 3, Marcus Rashford (£9.0m) has one goal and two assists, and it’s highly likely Erik ten Hag will keep him on the left with Rasmus Hojlund (£7.0m) getting up to speed.

Two of the weekend’s biggest shocks were Nottingham Forest’s win at Chelsea and the unusually bad Newcastle performance.

The former ensured that most of Matt Turner‘s (£4.0m) 1.34 million managers had the goalkeeper’s clean sheet stuck on their bench, whilst the latter brought a hat-trick from wonderkid Evan Ferguson (£5.9m).

Meanwhile, Son Heung-min (£9.1m) also hit a hat-trick in Spurs’ win over Burnley to complete a trio of hat-tricks.
