Liverpool have reportedly sighted West Ham United forward, Jarrod Bowen as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window.
Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Arabian club, expressed interest in Salah, 31, during the summer transfer window. But they had a bid to the tune of £150 million rejected by the Reds.
Next summer, when Salah will have only twelve months left on his present contract and may be free to leave if another substantial offer comes in, the Jeddah-based club’s interest is expected to resurface.
Liverpool are said to be preparing against any eventuality as it seems the Egyptian winger might not want to renew his deal with the Merseyside club.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool have identified Bowen as one of the potential replacements should Salah leave at the end of the season.
Serie A duo, Rafael Leao and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have also been identified by the club’s hierarchy. But Bowen seems like a suitable option for the Reds as he plays in the right-wing position as Salah.
With his quick feet, pace, ability to cut to his favourite left foot and an eye for goals and assists, the 26-year-old is the ideal replacement for the Liverpool talisman.

The last two seasons have seen Bowen contribute to 44 goals, which is an impressive showing.
He also had a standout performance in the Europa Conference League final when he scored the game-winning goal in the 90th minute. The goal subsequently ended the Hammers almost 60-year drought without a major European title.
