Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher’s remarks last night regarding Jude Bellingham may move to Liverpool were humorously refuted by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
The two were a member of the highly regarded CBS Sports Golazo panel that covered the Champions League match between Real Madrid and Union Berlin. Which Madrid won courtesy of the England international’s late goal.
The midfielder, who joined for £88 million this summer, scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute. Earning him six goals in as many appearances. However, he has long been a top target for Jurgen Klopp.
Given that Bellingham is still young, Carragher discussed the possibility of moving in the future. As per Liverpool World reported, he indicated on CBS Sports that he would someday move to the Premier League.
What Did Carragher And Henry Say About Bellingham’s Future?
“There’s still time. He’s not going to stay there his whole career is he? It’s probably hard to leave Real Madrid if I’m being totally honest.
“At some stage, you think if he’s the best player in England or one of England’s greatest ever players, which I think he will become, I think he’d want to sample the Premier League.
“I’m sure Jude wants to try the Premier League one day. And where better than 6 times Champions League winners Liverpool?”
During his time at Borussia Dortmund, Bellingham, now 20, was being eyed as a prospective Liverpool midfielder for well over a year and a half.
He had even mentioned how Steven Gerrard had been a great inspiration to him growing up. And at one point, conversations with his representatives appeared to be progressing nicely. Only to eventually make the move to Real Madrid where he has been the shining light so far.
