‘Glazers Out’ Banner Flown In The United States At NFL Game By Man United Fans

In an effort to persuade the owners of Premier League team to sell, Man United supporters have turned to flying a “Glazers Out” banner above Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay.

The Glazer family, who were believed to be close to selling the club this summer only to change their minds at the last minute, also own the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who played the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

The Buccaneers lost the game 25-11 to the Eagles. However, during the game, a plane was seen hovering overhead above Raymond James Stadium, carrying a banner that read “Glazers Out.”

Man United fans have long despised the Glazer family and have long protested their ownership.

But, despite taking those protests stateside, they are ultimately futile until the Glazers actually decide to sell up. The American family were in talks to sell the club to either British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe or Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim, who looked to be the front runner.

However, while a mooted deal of around £6bn was said to be in the pipeline, which would have seen Sheikh Jassim buy the club, the Glazer’s ultimately pivoted away from a sale, taking the club off market.

It has also been reported that they will not entertain any deal for the club either that does not match their £10bn valuation.

It’s certainly been a trying couple of weeks for Man United, both on and off the pitch.

The club have had to deal with a number of high profiled off-field issues, most notably Jadon Sancho’s banishing from Ten Hag’s first team plans after their public falling out.

Additionally, the club have also had to deal with the drama surrounding Mason Greenwood and Antony.
