Arsenal are reportedly sweating over the injury Bukayo Saka sustained in their 2-1 defeat to RC Lens in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
This is coming just few days to their mouth-watering Premier League clash against table-toppers Manchester City.
With Kevin De Bruyne injured and Rodri suspended, the visitors are also missing several crucial players. Nevertheless, Saka’s loss for the Gunners is the only thing on their minds.
Many had thought that the players would be subject to rotation in preparation for the Cityzens. But Arteta came through and fielded a nearly full-strength squad for the trip to France.
Club captain, Martin Odegaard rejected the notion that it would be difficult to handle both the Premier League and the Champions League.
“I don’t think it’s an issue,” Odegaard said. “Of course, it’s tough to play in Europe. We played a good team today, they were strong. They made it very difficult for us.
“We have to look at ourselves, learn, move on. I’m sure we’re going to get better and better so we take the lessons and move on.”
Odegaard had an equally unpleasant moment in the game after needlessly giving up possession with a back heel, much to the chagrin of his boss.
The 24-year-old was one of the players withdrawn in the second half. However, nothing was as severe as Saka’s injury, even more so than the group’s loss of points.

According to Football London, Odegaard said that after the game, he spoke with the winger. He was, however, unaware of the severity of the injury.
“Just a little bit,” he said. “I don’t know what it is, to be honest. We’ll have to see tomorrow I guess and hope it’s not too bad.”
