Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana has been wearing a replica shirt and some players have been using replacement socks after filing complaints about their official kit being too tight.
According to the Irish Independent, Adidas, the team’s official kit provider, is “resolving or in the process of resolving” the “minor kit issue.”
Since the season’s second game, there have apparently been reports of certain team players refusing to wear the official home socks.
It’s also known that Onana had problems with the more refined player jerseys, which fit him more closely than the ones that fans can buy in stores.
Since United’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on October 21, he is thought to have switched to a looser off-the-rack version.
Since Onana is a larger figure than David de Gea, the official shirt from the previous season seemed much more oversized when the Spaniard was wearing it.
On the socks issues, many players these days have problems with their socks, often cutting holes in their calves or even cutting off the entire foot.
After losing 3-0 to Manchester City at Old Trafford on Wednesday, United will play Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. The Magpies were also the subject of a controversy with their Castore jersey.
