Marcus Rashford reportedly continue with no goal, and Erik ten Hag addressed his poor performance, lamenting he is “not happy” with his performances.
The English forward, who has only scored once in all games, has been out of form up front. His poor form has continued in United’s current Champions League loss to FC Copenhagen. Following the stamping on defender Elias Jelert’s ankle on Wednesday, he was told to leave the football pitch.
What Did Erik Ten Hag Say About His Rashfords’ Performance?
According to Goal.com, Ten Hag reportedly expressed his notion on the 26 year old player’s recent form claiming “He is not happy. We are not happy. He has high expectations from himself. In this moment, he’s not in his best form, but I know he will be back. When the team is playing better, he will play better, he will score goals, I’m confident of that, so yeah, also this season he will improve and score. He’s totally in the team and aware of everything. he will be back on track and it can happen very quickly. Sometimes you only need one game and I’m sure he will get there.”
Rashford has a lot driving on him because he accumulated about 32 goals in all competitions last season while playing at an outstanding level. But he has not played in eight games, which has rendered the team’s attack deficient.
Following their defeat in the Champions League in Denmark, United has dropped nine of their first 17 games in all competitions, raising concerns about Ten Hag’s future as well. The manager insisted that the outcome will follow because he is “focused” on the process.

“I think we often proved we can, like at Fulham, Brentford, this team can overcome big setbacks,” he added. “It’s about the end result and we have to win every game, so we are very disappointed. Finally, it’s about the end result and it’s always about a process, thinking about it and then managing the process, which is what I focus on.”
The Red devils are set to host Luton town at Old Trafford on Saturday, 11th November before facing Everton.
So far this season, Manchester United are currently 8th in the Premier League standings after picking up 18 points from 11 matches.
