Jude Bellingham has claimed that Real Madrid ‘is the best team ever’ after he received the Golden Boy award which was hosted by Tuttosport on Monday night.
As the clear favorite to win the Golden Boy award—having already won the Kopa Trophy earlier this year—Bellingham did not disappoint, winning by an unprecedented margin.
After all, given his incredible start to life in Madrid, few could make a case against him.
The 20-year-old won the Golden Boy award last night in Turin after being declared the winner last month. The English sensation did not hide his joy from the media when he received the Golden Award.
“Thank you. I am very excited to join this group of special players. I am very happy to win Golden Boy,” Bellingham said as reported by Madrid Universal.
“This is a result of playing with great players. I have played and I am playing with amazing players. I would like to thank them the most,” he added.
He continued by emphasizing that team success and overall accomplishment always take precedence over individual accolades.
“I want to help my team and country to be the best. That’s what it takes to be the best player in the world. I just want to help my team be better, that matters.”
