Everton Place £100m Price Tag On Man United And Tottenham Target

Everton have reportedly slapped a mammoth £100 million price tag on Jarrod Branthwaite ahead of the January transfer window.

The England Under-21 international is rumored to be leaving Goodison Park next month. Manchester United and Tottenham are said to be among his suitors.

Following their 10-point deduction for violating the Profitability and Sustainability Rules of the Premier League, rumors have been circulating that the Toffees may face additional sanctions. As a consequence, Sean Dyche’s team now faces a greater chance of going into administration, as losing more points is not ruled out.

Consequently, the Merseyside club are expected to have multiple marquee exits. Stars like Branthwaite have been linked to leaving Goodison. But Everton doesn’t seem to be in a rush to let go of the former Carlisle youngster.

According to the Daily Express, Everton have reportedly placed a whopping £100 million price tag on the 21-year-old in an effort to discourage teams from exploring their resolve. The side believe that “he has everything” needed to compete at the highest level and refer to him as a “Rolls Royce defender.”

Under Dyche’s watchful supervision, Everton anticipate that Branthwaite will continue to develop and eventually make his way into the England first team. If that were to happen, his value would increase even more.

Everton have no obligation to try to make a deal with any of his suitors, including Erik ten Hag’s United, because the 21-year-old is under contract with the Toffees until 2027.

If they expect future financial penalties, they might instead try to offload other players.
