Chelsea Devise Plan To Beat Tottenham To Sign £40M Rated Player

Chelsea have reportedly put a plan in place to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of OGC Nice defender, Jean-Clair Todibo.

One of Europe’s best defenders this season, Todibo, who was formerly in the books of Barcelona has been a major factor in Nice’s campaign to win Ligue 1.

As a result, Todibo is currently the subject of intense transfer rumors, with Spurs and Manchester United being strongly linked with a move for the £40 million-rated defender.

According to TeamTalk as claimed by TBR Football, Chelsea have started the process of trying to sign Todibo. And the Blues plan to make significant spending this month in an effort to move out of mid-table obscurity.

Tottenham will suffer a fatal blow if they lose Todibo to a rival like Chelsea. GFFN has praised Todibo as a defender with “supreme” ability.

Despite the numbers Chelsea will offer for Todibo, the Nice defender might be more interested in joining another Premier League side given how disastrous Mauricio Pochettino team’s season has been.

It has been amazing to watch Todibo’s transformation from a Barcelona misfit to French superstar. And Premier League interest in the defender has been well-founded.

Todibo would be prudent to turn down Chelsea’s advances, though, considering that no one else is interested in signing him in January. And Chelsea are now in the running for the central defender.

Indeed, if he plays his cards right later in the season, Todibo could be able to choose from any club in Europe. If he holds out this month, the Nice star might be able to secure his dream move.
