PSG President Confirm ‘Deal’ With Kylian Mbappe Amid Liverpool And Real Madrid Transfer Rumors

Despite continuous speculation linking Kylian Mbappé to moves to Liverpool and Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president Nasser Al Khelaifi has reaffirmed his desire for him to stay at the Parc des Princes. The 25-year-old French forward’s current deal with PSG expires in less than six months.

According to Foot Mercato, he has agreed in principle to join Real Madrid, who had previously made a big offer for him, while Le Parisien reports that Liverpool will be involved in the talks. Al Khelaifi, on the other hand, has highlighted that Mbappé is an important element of PSG’s quest to fight for the coveted Champions League crown.

In an interview with RMC Sport, Al Khelaifi stated: “I want Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG. He’s the best player in the world, and PSG is the best club for him. He’s key to our project.”

Despite the uncertainties surrounding Mbappé’s contract, Al Khelaifi remains calm and composed. He verified a “gentleman’s agreement” with Mbappé but declined to reveal financial details.

Despite the enormous conjecture around him, Mbappé has stated that he has not made a choice about his future. He discussed his drive for the current season and the necessity of competing for titles. “As I said, we’ve got titles to go after, and we’ve already won one, so that’s already done,” he explained earlier this week to Sports Illustrated. “After that, no, I haven’t made up my mind yet.”

Mbappé also mentioned the arrangement he reached with Al Khelaifi over the summer. According to Caught Offside, he is planning to forfeit up to $87 million (£69 million/€80 million) in loyalty bonuses to compensate for the lack of a transfer price if Mbappé leaves as a free agent.
