According to sources, Andre Onana is reconsidering his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Onana was named to Cameroon’s 27-man squad for the next competition in the Ivory Coast, but he chose to meet up with his colleagues later. On Monday, he appeared in Manchester United’s 2-0 FA Cup Fourth Round win over Wigan Athlete.
He had initially agreed with Cameroon authorities that he would leave on January 14 to join the squad, allowing him to play in the Spurs game before flying out.

Cameroon faces Guinea in their first group game a day later, but iNews reports that he is now set to miss the game due to the short turnaround.
There is also the possibility that Onana will not play for Cameroon at all, having only returned to the international stage in August after retiring due to a disagreement with manager Rigobert Song.
According to reports, he was hesitant to travel because he was afraid of losing his place to United number two Altay Bayindir.
“At some point, Andre will go,” United manager Erik ten Hag said to the BBC. “We are completely satisfied, and we built this group of keepers because we are at ease with it.”
“We have faith in both of them. They are both excellent goalkeepers with extensive experience at the highest levels. I believe we can have a high level of confidence in our coverage.”
