Toni Kroos Of Real Madrid Mocks Saudi Arabia Fans On Social Media

Toni Kroos of Real Madrid criticized Saudi football supporters in a Tweet following his team’s Spanish Super Cup semi-final triumph over Atletico Madrid.

The German put in a typical midfield masterclass against Los Blancos’ crosstown foes but was jeered throughout his participation in the 5-3 win that required extra time.

“Today was a lot of fun!” In response to the cold reception, Kroos tweeted late Wednesday night, “Amazing crowd,” adding a sarcastic emoji with love heart eyes.

On the pitch, the 34-year-old model professional was just as cold-hearted, absolutely unmoved by the commotion and shutting it out to record a pass

Post-match, Kroos’ head coach Carlo Ancelotti claimed that he didn’t “understand” why Kroos was booed.

“I don’t think Kroos understood it either,” the Italian added.

Neither man should be too surprised, though, considering recent remarks made by the outspoken number 8 who regularly voices his opinion on the topics of the day in a popular podcast with his brother.

Reacting to the decision of many Europe-based players – including former Real Madrid teamamtes Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo – to head to the Saudi Pro League for lucrative pay packets last year, Kroos said that this trend was “against football”.

“It’s been said that they play ambitious football there, but it’s all about money. In the end, it’s a decision for money and against football,” Kroos scoffed.

“The lack of human rights, it would prevent me from going,” he added.

Given his advanced years, Kroos probably won’t be representing his homeland in the 2034 World Cup which, like the Spanish Super Cup, will also be held on Saudi sale.

Furthermore, the ex-Bayern Munich man retired from international duty after Euro 2020.
