The most recent reports suggest that Phillippe Coutinho, a former player for Liverpool, may be joining Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami.
According to Liverpool World, The 31-year-old Coutinho left Aston Villa in the summer to sign a season-long loan with Al Duhail of Qatar. Since September, he has made 11 appearances for the team. His team participated in the AFC Champions League and lost both of their highly entertaining group matches against Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, 3-2 and 4-3, respectively. The Brazilian scored twice in the former match.
Though he has only managed four goals and one assist overall, a fantastic opportunity to play with Messi and Suarez in the United States may have changed his perspective. The Spanish daily AS claims that because of his little playing time, the Brazilian star and Messi might play together again at Inter Miami in January.
He would also reunite with former teammates like Messi, Suarez, and the dynamic duo of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba if he moved to Florida. Though Villa hasn’t yet been contacted, LA Galaxy are also considering Villa’s services.

Speaking recently about the Brazilian’s future, Villa manager Unai Emery stated: “Philippe is a very good person and we always have to respect him as a person, first and foremost.” Second, he has demonstrated exceptionally high levels of play. Due to injuries, he hasn’t been reliable, so we spoke with him and came to the decision to see if we could let him go if it would benefit him, the team, and the club. Then he can discover his successful play as a player.”
After Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, Coutinho is currently the third most expensive player of all time, having left Liverpool in January 2018 for a reported £146 million. With the addition of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, Liverpool was able to move forward and lay the groundwork for their recent six-year run of success.
