Real Madrid Design Strategy To Lure Haaland From Man City

Real Madrid have reportedly decided to use the same strategy used in signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund on Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland.

Kylian Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the current campaign. And Madrid are still rumored to be interested in the forward. But, as a result of the forward not aligning with Los Blancos’ terms, they are believed to consider Haaland as a potential alternative.

Bellingham’s transfer to the Spanish capital is thought to have gone so smoothly that they are now prepared to pursue the Norwegian in the same manner.

According to Madrid Universal, the LaLiga giants are currently treating Haaland in the same manner as they did Bellingham. Through intermediaries, Haaland’s representatives are in communication with the Spanish side, not the player.

Their strategy entails striking a careful balance and steering clear from direct talks with the player, especially with Man City.

Haaland’s release clause is high (€200 million until 2024) but will drop over time to €175 million in 2025, giving the 14-time Champions League winners the advantage.

Florentino Perez might decide to match this sum. But it would depend on how things work out with Mbappe beforehand.

The aforementioned source also claimed that Madrid are thinking about taking advantage of Bellingham’s connection to the City forward. And that talks with Haaland’s team are proceeding smoothly.

Bellingham and the Norwegian are close pals. And Haaland’s choice might be affected by the midfielder’s brief but significant rise with Madrid.
