Speaking after the game, Vitoria insisted it’s too early to tell how serious the injury is, but he hopes it’s “not dangerous”. “I hope not [a big problem]. We don’t know yet what the problem is. I hope it’s not a big problem but it was a problem in the first half,” he said.
“It was difficult timing for us because in the second half, we could only make two substitutions. But now, I don’t know. It’s early to see something, I think it’s not dangerous but let’s see if Salah recovers.”
Liverpool will be closely monitoring the situation because, depending on Egypt’s performance in the tournament, Salah may miss additional games. Given that they are vying for the crown with the Reds, Arsenal and Manchester City are probably also monitoring the situation.
