Klopp Expected To Make Major Changes To Liverpool Side As Injury Crisis Worsens

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp is anticipated to make up to five changes to his squad as the ahead of the Reds’ league clash against Luton town on Wednesday.

Darwin Nunez, Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah, and Cody Gakpo scored goals as the Reds defeated Brentford 4-1 on Saturday. But they lost Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota to injuries in the first half. And as an a safety measure, they pulled their Uruguayan striker at halftime.

Prior to their most recent trip to the capital, Liverpool had already suffered a setback when Alisson Becker strained his hamstring on Friday during training at the AXA Training Centre.

Klopp’s team appear rather thin with players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Thiago Alcantara out injured and already ruled out of the Reds’ match against the Hatters.

According to Liverpool Echo, Alisson is expected to be replaced in goal by Caoimhin Kelleher. Due to a history of injuries, Ibrahima Konate is rarely asked to play three times in a week. As a result, Klopp may start Jarell Quansah and reserve the Frenchman for the League Cup final.

Jones’ leg injury forced him off the pitch in the first half of Liverpool’s match against Brentford. And the team will probably need to make one required midfield shift.

The midfielder was replaced by Ryan Gravenberch, though Harvey Elliott could also come into the middle of the park.
