Barcelona sporting director Deco has been discussing the club’s ongoing search for a new manager and has stated that the outfit want to see the team perform at a high level.
According to Barca Blaugranes, regarding manager Xavi Hernandez’s replacement, there has already been discussion of the infamous ‘Barca DNA,’ which Deco declares is inevitable in his opinion.
“Barça’s DNA has always been to have quality players and the style has always been tried to be maintained, so there is no discussion about that,” he said.
“Many coaches have been here and the best players in history have passed through this club. and the idea has always been to want to play beautiful football.”
Back in January, Xavi announced he would be stepping down from his managerial role at the club. Citing the huge amount of pressure that comes with managing the club.
The Blaugrana club are currently second on the Laliga standings with 8 points adrift league leaders, Real Madrid.

Though, Girona still have a game in hand, of which they would go second if they should claim a victory.
Who will be in charge of making sure Barca play beautiful football the following season is still unknown. As of now, Hansi Flick appears to be the front-runner. But Roberto De Zerbi and Thomas Tuchel are also considered possibilities.
