Harry Kane Steers Bayern Into Champions League Quarterfinals

Harry Kane helped Bayern Munich overcome a first-leg deficit and advance to the Champions League quarterfinals by leading the German team to a 3-0 victory over Lazio at the Allianz Arena.
After falling behind 1-0 in the first leg in Rome, Kane scored his 50th goal in European play with a close-range header.

Shortly before the half, Matthijs de Ligt’s shot zipped across the six-yard area, giving Thomas Muller his second header of the game and doubling the lead.Reported by PlantetSport.

Moments before Kane tied the score, Lazio’s greatest opportunity had gone to Ciro Immobile, their first-game spot-kick scorer.

However, just when it looked easier to score, Immobile planted his header wide from six yards out.

After 66 minutes, Bayern locked up their spot in the final eight of a competition that they have won six times.

After Leroy Sane’s attempt was parried into his path, Kane had to quickly change direction to score his second goal of the game and Bayern’s 33rd goal in as many games.

After a 4-1 aggregate victory, Paris St. Germain cruised into the quarterfinals thanks to a brace from Kylian Mbappe and a 2-1 triumph against Real Sociedad.

PSG went into the match with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg, and they never looked back.

PSG were the dominant force and went ahead after 15 minutes through Mbappe’s fifth Champions League goal of the season, bending the ball across goal and inside the far post.

Mbappe punished Sociedad again 11 minutes into the second half, bursting on to Lee Kang-in’s through ball and whipping the ball in majestically at the near post. Mikel Merino scored a consolation for Sociedad a minute from time.
