Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale could be heading for a summer exit with Newcastle United reported to have their eyes on a move.
According to CaughtOffside, transfer analyst Dean Jones anticipates the goalkeeper leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer to play for a first team. With Newcastle and Chelsea being mentioned as potential destinations.
Ramsdale has had a difficult season because he has had to get used to playing a supporting role under Mikel Arteta. Following the summer acquisition of David Raya, Ramsdale’s spot in the starting lineup has been lost.
Prior to the summer Euros, Ramsdale’s chances of being included in Gareth Southgate’s squad have been harmed. And he might need to look for a new challenge to guarantee a spot for his national side moving forward.
According to Jones, Ramsdale is drawing interest from Chelsea and Newcastle. the journalist added that he would be shocked if the goalkeeper chose to stay at Arsenal this summer.
Jones said: “I think basic logic tells you that Ramsdale cannot continue to just sit on the bench watching Arsenal week in week out.
“He’s basically got a season ticket at the moment. That’s not really where he needs to be at this moment in his career.

“He’s been very professional this season and credit to him for remaining so patient when others would not have. He will definitely have offers to leave.
“I think we will see rumours around that build in May and as we head into the Euros. I know Newcastle and Chelsea both have a level of interest. I’d be very surprised if Ramsdale did not end up leaving Arsenal in the summer.”
