Chelsea sell more replica shirts worldwide than any other Premier League club, but the west Londoners still lag behind Barcelona and Bayern Munich in global shirt sales.
Manchester United may be a leading global brand, but they are behind Chelsea in fourth, while Champions League finalists Real Madrid round off the top five.
The Premier League has three teams in the top 10, with Arsenal joining Chelsea and United, matching La Liga, which sees Atletico Madrid alongside Real and Barca.
It is a huge increase for Chelsea, whose sales have grown by almost 40 per cent despite a poor season defending their Premier League title.
United also saw a large increase – of almost 35 per cent – but have slipped behind Chelsea in the rankings.
The figures, put together by sports marketing company Euromericas, show that Barcelona lead the way with 3.6m shirts sold between the start of the season and April this year.
With stars like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar leading them towards another La Liga title, the reigning European champions are the world’s most marketable club.
Bayern, who have just sealed a fourth consecutive Bundesliga, are 300,000 behind them, with Chelsea in third, having sold comfortably over 3m shirts themselves.
Serie A champions Juventus also made the top 10, but the next best Italian side, AC Milan, have not won the title since 2011, and are currently seventh in the table, set to miss out on Champions League football for a third season in a row.
Dominant French champions PSG are the only Ligue 1 side in the highest 10 shirt sellers, with their 2.2m sales keeping them just ahead of Arsenal in sixth place.
