In the summer transfer window, Arsenal will be looking to add a new striker to their roster. That’s even though, prior to the start of the international break, the Gunners scored 33 goals in eight Premier League games.
In 2024, Mikel Arteta’s team has undoubtedly found their shooting shoes. They have moved from a position of weakness to strength in the Premier League title fight. They currently have the greatest goal differential between Manchester City, Liverpool, and themselves, which could be important come playoff time.
Due to goal differential between them and Liverpool, Arsenal leads the table and is one point ahead of City. This Sunday, they play City at the Etihad Stadium in a pivotal match that may help determine who wins the title this year.
The Gunners’ summer transfer window strategy won’t alter whether they end up winning the title or not. A new striker is still a top priority because Gabriel Jesus is injured and struggles to score goals and there are still concerns about Eddie Nketiah’s future and role in the team, as well as Kai Havertz’s role on the field under Arteta.
In recent weeks, there have been numerous rumors about Viktor Gyokeres moving to the Emirates Stadium, along with Victor Osimhen and Santiago Gimenez.
However, what if Arsenal looked for opportunities in the Premier League closer to home? Though the rumors about Ivan Toney have recently cooled, Alexander Isak has always piqued interest.
Football london thought we’d look at the list of strikers in the Premier League this season who have a 50% shooting accuracy or better, since Arsenal needs someone to score goals quickly.
Arsenal Boss Might Be ‘Interested’ In These Players
Evan Ferguson’s shooting accuracy is 60.6%. In the upcoming seasons, a lot of clubs will be watching Brighton’s teenage prodigy. Given his ceiling and the Seagulls’ strict transfer policy, Arsenal would probably need to pay more than £100 million to sign him this summer.
Arsenal might be interested in Evan Ferguson but not likely to sign him.
Chris Wood has a shooting accuracy of 58.3%. Despite not being the first choice up top, the Nottingham Forest forward has scored nine goals this season. At thirty-two, he would be a cheap and unlikely option, but he is having a very good season.
Arsenal may not interested in Chris Wood and not likely to sign him.

Zeki Amdouni’s shooting accuracy is 52.5%. One more player from Burnley on the roster. He is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or forward, which Mikel Arteta might not want given that he already has Kai Havertz, a youthful athlete full of promise who would undoubtedly fit into the Arsenal model.
Arsenal may not interested in Zeki and not likely to sign him.
Alexander Isak’s shooting accuracy is 52.4%. A player that Arsenal had previously shown interest in, having watched him play for Real Sociedad in 2022 before Newcastle moved quickly to sign him.
Perhaps someone who quits the Magpies because they are trying to follow FFP and PSR rules. Arsenal might be interested in Alexander also likely to sign him.
Other players Arsenal may not want and not likely to sign include: David Datro Fofana, Callum Wilson, Matheus Cunha, Taiwo Awoniyi, Oliver McBurnie and Ivan Toney
