Many young players continue to show off their skills on the different teams in the youth divisions but in a team like Barcelona, you have to have something really unique to stand out.
There is a 15-year-old kid from Barcelona who has something that nobody else can claim. Guille Fernandez, who is just a young player, leaves his mark on the Barça rankings having broken a record that was previously held by one of the best ever.
Guillermo “Guille” Fernandez Casino becomes the youngest player to ever play for Barcelona Atletic, breaking the previous record held by Barcelona first team sensation Lamine Yamal, as reported by Barca News, at the age of fifteen years, nine months, and twelve days.
The age difference between Yamal and Guille Fernandez at the time of his debut was just 11 days. This only increases the significance of Fernandez’s rise to the top of the Barcelona hierarchy, without detracting in the slightest from the feats of the first-team prodigy.
Furthermore, he assisted Rafa Marquez’s team in turning around a scoreline in which they were losing by one goal to end up winning 3-2 thanks to a late winner by Senegalese player in form Mikayil Faye, following his introduction into the game around the 80th minute.
