One Luton Town defender reportedly heaped praise on Arsenal midfielder, Emile Smith Rowe following his impeccable performance in the Gunners’ 2-0 win over the Hatters at the Emirates Stadium.
After some excellent midfield pressing from Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard’s goal put the Gunners ahead 1-0. Then, Arsenal No. 10 orchestrated the second by forcing Daiki Hashioka score an own goal.
Arsenal played with professionalism, and the outcome was significant for the Premier League title battle.
According to TBRFootball, Lockyer, who has heart issues was a TNT Sports pundit rather than playing in the match, complimented Arsenal’s No. 10 Emile Smith Rowe after the Gunners won all three points.
The Luton No. 4 said as the England international approached him for his post-game interview.
“Emile, well played tonight, I thought you were brilliant.”
Following the 2-0 victory, Rob Edwards even picked out Smith Rowe for praise. Referring to the Hale End graduate as “an exceptional player” in his press conference.
For the 23-year-old, it was a momentous evening.
With just three Premier League starts this season, Smith Rowe had not started a Premier League match since the 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on the road in January.
It would therefore have been reasonable to expect some signs of rustiness. Even though the man from Croydon didn’t appear to need any dusting off at all.

A Premier League title race can contain a lot of potential banana skins, as Arsenal discovered after suffering defeats to Southampton, Brighton, and Nottingham Forest in the previous season.
Luton presented another challenging test. But Smith Rowe came through twice crucially to ensure Arsenal won 2-0 and with relative ease.
