West Ham Midfielder Discharged From The Hospital After Suffering A Head Injury

George Earthy, a midfielder for West Ham, was released from the hospital following his concussion sustained during Sunday’s Premier League match against Fulham.

At the London Stadium, as reported by  Mail Online, the 19-year-old replaced Michail Antonio in the 82nd minute to make his Premier League debut.

But during stoppage time, Earthy was carried off on a stretcher, and Maxwel Cornet entered the game.

Following his transfer for additional evaluation, West Ham verified on Sunday that Earthy was conscious while in the hospital.

Earthy was released from the hospital and has since returned home, according to the club.

Before making a comeback to action, Earthy will now adhere to FA and Premier League concussion guidelines.

‘The Irons’ performance director, Richard Collinge, stated, “George is back home and we will continue to monitor him over the coming days as he completes the graduated return to play program.”

After an unintentional collision with West Ham teammate Edson Alvarez, Earthy was treated for six minutes on the field and given oxygen.

Following the game, the manager of West Ham verified that Earthy had suffered a head injury.

In a statement, West Ham said, “We would like to express our gratitude to our medical staff, Fulham’s medical team, and Medics24, our pitchside rescue team, for their prompt and efficient response to yesterday’s incident.”

The Club also wants to thank everyone who has sent George so many encouraging messages.

“George is well and quickly recovered, everyone at West Ham United hopes.”

Andreas Pereira scored both goals for the visiting team, Fulham, in their 2-0 victory.
