Jurgen Klopp Shares ‘Painful’ Conor Bradley Injury Update As Liverpool Wait On Latest

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has acknowledged that he has no idea how serious the injury Conor Bradley sustained in Sunday’s Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace is.
Eberechi Eze gave the Eagles the game’s only goal, capitalizing on the Reds’ worrisome wastefulness. With their 1-0 victory, Liverpool now trails Manchester City by two points in the Premier League standings.

The youthful right-back Bradley, who started on the right side of the defense despite Trent Alexander-Arnold’s comeback from a knee injury, had an especially painful time against them on Sunday.

But three minutes into the second half, Bradley’s afternoon was over because he appeared worse in a collision with Palace goal scorer Eze and had to be substituted.

Bradley emerges as major doubt for Atalanta BC clash

In response to a question about Bradley, who has had a breakout season with one goal and six assists from 22 games, Klopp revealed that the defender had sustained a foot injury at his post-game news conference.

Bradley, 20, will be evaluated further on Monday to ascertain the full nature of the injury, but he now appears to be a severe doubt for this Thursday’s Europa League quarterfinal second leg against Atalanta BC.

According to Klopp, “Conor overstretched his foot slightly,” as reported by the Liverpool Echo. “Is the ligament injured or not right now? I’m not sure. That information will be provided to us on Monday or Tuesday. He was in excruciating pain.”

Bradley’s worry may not be a long-term one, but it makes him the fourth player on the Reds’ roster with a question mark regarding health ahead of Thursday, joining Ben Doak, Joel Matip, and Thiago Alcantara.

Although it is unlikely that any of the three players named above will make a comeback before the end of the campaign, Klopp still has a number of substitutes at his disposal to cover for Bradley while the young player is out.
