Darwin Nunez, a forward for Liverpool, altered his Instagram photo in response to criticism of his team’s results.
Earlier this month, the Uruguayan made waves when he appeared to take down all but one of his social media postings on Liverpool.
After receiving criticism for his performances under Jurgen Klopp, his striking online behavior became a topic of conversation among Liverpool supporters.
In the penultimate home game of the Reds manager’s term at Anfield, the team defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-1, but not before he recklessly strayed offside and missed a fantastic opportunity.
This led to the alteration in the team’s lineup. The 24-year-old may have been hinting to his future given the upcoming transition at the club, as there were rumors that he was unhappy on Merseyside.

Nunez’s social media page used to contain seven images during his time at Liverpool in which these appear to have been taken down.
The only photo of him at the club at the time of writing is from when he completed his record-breaking transfer, however he has altered his profile again after the 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The attacker, sporting the new 2024/25 strip from Sunday’s victory, has changed his photo from one of himself wearing the Liverpool number nine shirt to one of his family.
The former Benfica striker finished his second full season in the Premier League with 11 goals and eight assists in 36 games but Klopp has remained steadfast in his backing of the player despite his problems in front of goal, according to Echo
