Manchester United Youngster Says ‘He Feels Pressured’ At The Club

Rasmus Hojlund, who cost £64 million to acquire from Atalanta, has had a successful debut campaign at Old Trafford for Manchester United.

Although it took him some time to adjust to life in England, the 21-year-old eventually scored 16 goals in 42 games for the Red Devils and won over a lot of fans.

Hojlund will aim to improve on those stats even more in the upcoming season, as he is only anticipated to get better.

The striker, though, is currently solely focused on Saturday’s FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City, where Man Utd will start as the underdog.

Hojlund recently stated in an interview that he is content with his first season with the Red Devils, but he also acknowledged that the pressure of the new situation has been difficult.

“Working for Manchester United puts you under incredible pressure. Due to the club’s immense popularity, you are constantly under observation, both on and off the field. Although it takes some getting accustomed to, I think I’ve discovered a rhythm,” Hojlund said to Tipsbladet.

The striker went on to say that he wasn’t used to being followed around the city by paparazzi in Italy and was taken aback by it.

“I recall one of my first days there were paparazzi cameras on the street while my girlfriend and I were strolling around the city. “Wow, does anyone really want to see pictures of me when I’m just going for a walk?” was my initial thought.

It seems like you can turn that into a lot of shows and both positive and negative stories.

Holjund Proud To Play For Man United

Hojlund acknowledges that although he “always wanted” to play for a major team like Manchester United, moving to the Premier League required him to make some sacrifices.

“There is undoubtedly a drawback, but it’s not why I’ve always wanted to get to this place.

“In general, you don’t have the same freedom in daily life and with your vocabulary. It’s not always possible to express what’s on your mind since it could be misinterpreted.

The ability to be left alone and act foolishly if I so choose is what I miss most about it. I miss not having to worry about who is watching and listening to me while I go about my business knowing that Rasmus Højlund is out there someplace.

In addition, Team Talk claims Hojlund addressed recent reports that said certain of his Manchester United colleagues don’t pass to him, calling such claims “nonsense.”

Ninety to ninety-five percent of the stories are gibberish, so you have to sort through them. I had to learn how to sort through it since putting things on hold is the only thing I can do.

“Such an article is beyond my comprehension. I believe that when I’m in the appropriate spots, I can catch the ball. Sometimes I would have loved to catch the ball more, but it’s not always feasible. It’s another instance of something I have to block out due to its excessive noise.
