Tottenham Advised To Sign Fast Bundesliga Striker

Ange Postecoglou has asked Tottenham to seek for a top Bundesliga striker who excelled in the Champions League this season in an attempt to strengthen his offensive line.

Following his side’s multiple missed opportunities in games that might have potentially lost them a top-four position, the Australian has made buying a productive new No. 9 his primary priority this summer.

His subpar play from the previous season was at least somewhat improved while there is still a feeling that Richarlison cannot take the team to new height.

Rumors of a possible transfer to Saudi Arabia have raised expectations that Tottenham is willing to pay a high price for a worthy replacement.

The frontman in question is energetic Lois Openda, a standout for RB Leipzig, according to Team Talk.

The Belgium international has been identified by Spurs insider John Wenham as the ideal choice to start in Postecoglou’s front three.

Along with players like Ivan Toney, Dominic Solanke, Santiago Gimenez, and a more recent arrival in Porto sensation Evanilson, Openda is already rumored to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Nevertheless, Wenham thinks the 24-year-old is a solid choice for the north London team after seeing Openda play in the Champions League this season, when he scored twice against Manchester City at The Etihad.

Openda’s Overall Stats

He told Tottenham News, “I was impressed when I watched Openda in the Champions League a few times this year.”

Openda possesses a great blend of speed and finishing skills.

He appears to have the ability to play wide as well, making him an intriguing choice to take Richarlison’s place. I would go straight to Openda.

Openda led Leipzig, which placed fourth in the Bundesliga this year, to another Champions League berth thanks to his 28 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.

During his career, he has scored goals in 227 games overall, having transferred from Lens to Leipzig in the summer of 2023 for €43 million.

Openda, however, is rumored to cost up to £75 million. He has also been connected to teams like Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool.

However, if Richarlison consents to a move to Saudi Arabia, Tottenham hopes to recuperate a significant portion of their investment, and the Belgian could prove to be the crucial component in Postecoglou’s puzzle
