Cedric Soares is reportedly assessing his transfer plans following his departure from Arsenal as a free agent.
The right-back, who has been with the Gunners since 2020, is eager to sign a contract this summer as a free agent.
Although Cedric played a major role in Mikel Arteta’s early managerial career, he had fallen down the hierarchy at Arsenal and had made very few appearances in the most recent campaign.
Although the 32-year-old acknowledged that playing for the Gunners was a ‘incredible feeling,’ he is now focused on the future.
“Right now, I’m very focused on my career, I want to keep playing for many more years,” he told the 1 Para 1 Podcast as echoed by The Evening Standard.
“My goal now is to find the the right team where I can continue to be competitive, be on the field, and do what I love most.
“Now, it’s about getting together with the family, my agent, analysing what will be on the table for next season.
“Everything is a bit up in the air, I don’t have any certainties yet, but I will analyse, understand where the best solution for me to continue my career is. That’s what I am going to focus on.
“Arsenal have been growing year after year. There is that connection with the fans, which might be closer than ever before, and that sometimes makes a difference.
