Arsenal ‘Offered’ Victor Osimhen Swap Deal Proposal As Transfer Target Reveals Stance

Napoli are apparently interested in two Arsenal players, who might reduce the huge £110 million price tag on their transfer target Victor Osimhen.

The Gunners are looking to enhance their attacking lineup, and Nigerian forward Osimhen is high on their list. However, the high transfer price may be a stumbling hurdle.

Osimhen is poised to leave Napoli this summer after the club’s poor tenth-place finish in Serie A. Despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi clubs, it appears that Osimhen prefers the Premier League.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Napoli would like to receive his whole £110 million release clause, although no offer has yet been made. Despite links to RB Leipzig attacker Benjamin Sesko, Arsenal has allegedly rekindled its interest in Osimhen.

The north London club may be able to negotiate a lower sum for the 25-year-old. Napoli, led by Antonio Conte, are reportedly interested in Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu, which might benefit Arsenal.

If acquiring Osimhen’s services requires parting ways with one or both of these players, the Gunners may want to consider doing so. Arsenal’s versatile defender Tomiyasu renewed his contract in March, but his position at the club may become less secure when Jurrien Timber returns and Ben White, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Jakub Kiwior emerge as full-back options.

While Mikel Arteta would undoubtedly want to maintain both Smith Rowe and Tomiyasu, the opportunity to get Osimhen, one of Europe’s best strikers, at a reasonable price may be too good to pass up, especially because Napoli appears to be preparing for his exit.
