Romelu Lukaku is being courted by AC Milan, and the new Napoli manager is eager to acquire the striker this summer.
In 2021, Lukaku made his second career signing for the Blues, paying a staggering £97.5 million to return to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan.
The Belgian scored eight Premier League goals in his first season back in England, but the transfer was unfortunate as he had a complete falling out with management.

Lukaku spent last season on loan at Roma and was returned to Inter on loan for the 2022–2023 season, despite the huge fee they paid for his services.
According to Metro, AC Milan is looking to join the action and send Lukaku on loan to Serie A for an additional season. They have reached out to Chelsea over a potential short-term agreement.
The striker has a £38 million release clause in his contract, which is the amount the west London club is hoping to obtain, but the report claims that the Blues are no longer interested in loaning him out and are instead searching for a permanent transfer.
Chelsea and AC Milan have reached deals in recent years over the transfer of players like Christian Pulisic, Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Stamford Bridge to the San Siro.
It is possible that a deal may be reached even if no club makes that kind of bid.
However, Napoli is also interested, or at least Antonio Conte, their new manager, has reportedly already spoken with Lukaku about a potential transfer.
