Argentina Wonderkid Set To Join West Ham

Nehuen Perez is willing to play for West Ham and the team is considering making an attempt to get him.

On June 10, the talkSPORT journalist tweeted that the Argentine international is ready to join the Udinese Hammers, via West Ham Zone

The Irons have already made an initial offer, although other teams are taking a look at the 23-year-old.

Given that only the three Premier League demoted clubs conceded more goals in the previous season, it is no secret that the club has to strengthen its defense.

After his contract ended, Angelo Ogbonna’s lengthy tenure with the team came to an end. Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma, the captain from the previous season, are both under contract.

This summer, West Ham acted swiftly to solve the matter as they appeared to be closing a deal to sign Brazilian Fabricio Bruno. However, the agreement fell through when the Saudi Pro League expressed interest.

Tim Steidten may thus be considering Perez as the next name on his shortlist to replace Julen Lopetegui.

After Luis Guilherme arrived in London for his physical, the German appears to be finally close to signing his first attacking recruit and the first signing of the new era.

And given the challenges faced in seeing that transaction through to completion as well as the outcome of the Bruno move, it is encouraging that the player is showing interest in returning to the club.

With the exception of two games lost due to suspension, the two-cap international participated in every minute of every Serie A encounter for Udinese last season. The only six league games he missed over the previous two campaigns were due to sanctions.

In other West Ham news, the Irons have discovered the price they must pay to land a lucrative La Liga contract.
