Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will reconsider his summer transfer intentions after Benjamin Sesko allegedly announced his decision on Tuesday morning.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Sesko has opted to extend his contract with RB Leipzig this summer and will not move to the Premier League. The Slovenian centre-forward was anticipated to make a choice in June, maybe before this summer’s European Championship.

The Gunners were widely connected with a deal for the striker, with reports last month claiming he had agreed to transfer to the Emirates Stadium. However, this change of heart appears to have dashed Arsenal’s ambitions of closing a deal this summer.
With Sesko’s interest possibly finished for at least another transfer window, football.london has looked at the three players Arsenal might now target to fill their vacuum at the top of the pitch.
When selecting which route to go next, it is critical to understand the type of striker the Gunners are searching for. Arteta appears to prefer a quick, tall striker who can hold up the ball, allowing Arsenal’s superb midfield to dominate the pitch.
Therefore, Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak must be at the top of that list. This season, the Swede was a formidable force in the Premier League, capable of holding the line at the top of the pitch.
Finally, there is Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian does not have experience in the Premier League like the other two candidates but he has been a goal threat for the Serie A club these past two campaigns.
Osimhen is also expected to depart Naples this summer with his relationship at the club strained. The club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has already predicted that a Premier League or PSG switch awaits his striker.
