Man United Slap Huge Price Tag On Greenwood Amid Talks With Juventus

Manchester United have reportedly slapped a £50 million price tag on Mason Greenwood amid contact with Juventus over a possible sale of the Englishman.

According to talkSPORT, along with Italian rivals Napoli, Juve are among several European clubs that are considering signing Greenwood.

It appears that Greenwood will eventually sign a permanent contract to leave United. And the Premier League club are requesting £50 million.

Having joined Getafe on the last day of the summer transfer window, he played the entire previous season on loan at the Spanish club.

After an internal investigation, United declared last August that he would continue his career outside the club.

Following the release of pictures and videos online in January 2022, the young striker was taken into custody on suspicion of rape, assault, and making threats to kill.

The Red Devils suspended him, as he refuted the accusations made against him.

The Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges in February 2023, but United carried out an internal investigation.

Later, United announced that Greenwood would not be playing for them again.

The 22-year-old went on to make 33 appearances in La Liga for Getafe, tallying eight goals and dishing out six assists.

The Madrid-based outfit have contacted United about a second contract for the 2024–2025 campaign because they are eager to bring the Englishman back on loan.

He could now, however, move permanently to Italy.
