The Sky Blues will be attempting to defend their Premier League title once more, fending off potential rivals Arsenal and Liverpool in a bid to earn top spot for the fifth consecutive season.

Before that, there will be a lot of transfer discussion, some of which we’ve compiled below.

Cristian Romero’s move is recommended

Sergio Vazquez, a former Argentina centre-back, has confessed that he would want to see Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristiano Romero join City.

Romero joined the Lilywhites on loan during the 2021/22 season, and his good tenure earned him a permanent contract.

His talent was on display for all to see as he was a member of Argentina’s 2022 World Cup winning team, and he is expected to continue to improve as an athlete.

Making the case for a move to City, Vazquez told La Oral Deportiva via El Grafico: “He is the best number two in Argentine football history.”

“We are in the presence of someone who can come out and play, who can burst it, who has presence, and who, if necessary, will hit you. At his age, he is a kid who inspires confidence when the ball comes his way.

“I want to see him at Pep Guardiola Manchester City. We’ve identified a core duo for the next ten years. Martínez and Cuti use orientated controllers to speed up pass-giving.
