Ex Man United Player Tags Cristiano Ronaldo As The ‘Weakest’ Player For Portugal

A former Manchester United player has attacked Cristiano Ronaldo harshly before of Portugal’s opening Euro 2024 Group F match against the Czech Republic on Tuesday, reports Sports Mole

Ronaldo is expected to be a key member of Roberto Martinez’s team, who is considered one of the favorites to win this summer’s competition in Germany.

Ronaldo should play for Portugal in Tuesday’s Euro 2024 opener, according to former Czech international Karel Poborsky, who feels the Al-Nassr attacker is “not as good at building the game and pressing as his younger teammates.”

Poborsky stated, “I have been saying for a long time that Ronaldo will be one of their weakest links,” in an interview with the Czech news organization CTK.

Although he is not as skilled as his younger colleagues in building the game and pressing, the supporters of both sides will go crazy for him.

Thus, the Czech Republic’s squad would prefer that he start. Bravo for all that he has accomplished, made possible by his immense confidence. But aging is unavoidable. He is 39 years old.

“We don’t know how he is with coach Roberto Martinez, but it was written about before that his predecessor Fernando Santos already encountered a problem at the World Cup in Qatar.”

Poborsky hinted that former Portugal manager Santos may have benched Ronaldo in favor of Goncalo Ramos in the attacking role.

The Portuguese manager, Martinez, has maintained that Ronaldo belongs in his team “on merit” despite Poborsky’s remarks regarding the veteran striker.

Cristiano scored [10] goals in our qualifying stages in addition to his 50 goals in 51 games, which was consistent with his team in his league.
